Cream Rice with Syrup

Preparation:  In double boiler, mix rice, milk, syrup, sweetener and salt. Cover and cook over boiling water 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Beat eggs; gradually add a little of the hot mixture to eggs, beating continuously. Return to rice mixture and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens slightly. Cool thoroughly. Mix topping, raisins and vanilla with the rice mixture, then spoon into dessert glasses. Sprinkle with nutmeg and refrigerate.
